I graduated from Kansas State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science. Within a year I found myself taking a job at a Community Mental Health Center. I had minimal experience in the field beyond a psychology class in college. I quickly felt satisfaction in helping others, I also enjoyed knowing each day would be nothing like the next. I spent over 5 years providing social services in rural Manhattan, KS, working with a variety of individuals and families learning as much as I could. I was surrounded by dedicated co-workers and supervisors who have become successful in their social services careers throughout the U.S.
In 2009, I graduated from the University of Kansas, School of Social Welfare and moved to the Kansas City Metro Area, where I was able to grow as a mental health provider. I worked with individuals and families in urban settings, mandated clients with legal issues, and people with an assortment of mental health challenges.
With more than a decade of work in the field of mental health I bring experience and a strong base of knowledge about many challenges that people encounter in life. I enjoy supporting people in making positive changes and managing their lives more efficiently.
I try not to miss an opportunity for a good laugh and appreciate spending time with friends and family. I am a sports enthusiast who enjoys attending sporting events when life permits. I am dedicated to gaining knowledge about how to assist people in making changes for themselves, as well as for their communities.
